I attended the AAG conference in D.C., and enjoyed it so much that Miranda and I went together for a three-day mini-vacation at the end of Spring Quarter. The monuments and musuems are fun and worth seeing at least once. But even if you ignore all the marble statue, you are still left with a city made up of many interesting neighborhoods, great restaurants, and efficient public transportation.
